Alex Menotti

Alex Menotti is the VP of Corporate and Government Affairs at LanzaJet. He leads LanzaJet’s global policy and regulatory engagement, with a focus on developing policies to catalyze the Sustainable Aviation Fuel industry. Prior to joining LanzaJet, Alex was the Federal Affairs Manager at Neste and led Neste’s North American policy and regulatory engagement on aviation decarbonization. Alex was previously the Director of Environmental Affairs at Airlines for America and was an environmental attorney in private practice, focusing on renewable fuels and the Clean Air Act.

Alex is an expert in SAF supply chains and deployment, having engaged in the SAF sector for over 8 years and biofuels more generally for 15 years. He has participated in numerous stocktaking and roadmap exercises on SAF, including with ICAO, IATA, World Economic Forum, Atlantic Council, and other bodies. Alex is an expert on the policy environment necessary to scale up SAF, having led efforts for incentives in the United States. As a representative of a SAF producer, Alex can contribute to activities related to SAF projects and investment needs and financing structures for those projects.
