Stacie Dennis

Vice President, Accounting and Financial Operations

Mrs. Dennis is a tenured CFO and financial executive with expertise in leading global companies in the public and private sectors. Mrs. Dennis is currently Vice President, Accounting and Financial Operations at LanzaJet, a biofuels producer of sustainable aviation fuel and renewable diesel. Her current focus is preparing the company to bring the world’s first alcohol to jet facility online in 2023 and planning the strategic direction of the company with a pipeline of future projects to bring over 1 billion gallons of sustainable aviation fuel to global markets by 2030. 

She started her work at LanzaJet in November 2021 and in a short time has closed on $250 million in funding for the plant in Soperton, GA. Since the project was first of its kind, LanzaJet had to tap into creative funding sources including a note purchase agreement with Microsoft for $50 million, a second note purchase agreement for over $100M from investors and a grant from Bill Gate’s Breakthrough Energy Catalyst for $50 million. She also has worked with her excellent Controller, Caron Carter to implement NetSuite and together they have completed two public company level audits with KPMG as their audit partner. She has built an accounting team from scratch and her team is building policies and procedures to prepare the company for the accelerated growth ahead. She also reports regularly to LanzaJet’s Board of Directors including Shell Oil, Suncor Energy, Mitsui, British Airways and LanzaJet and collaborates regularly with their teams on strategy and financial matters.

Previously Mrs. Dennis was CFO for Bulkmatic Transport Company, a privately held global transportation and logistics company with $250M in revenue operating in the US, Mexico and Colombia. She began her career with Arthur Andersen and has also held positions at various levels at the Tribune Company, Saks Incorporated and CIT Group.

Mrs. Dennis holds a B.S. degree from Northwestern University and an M.S. in Accounting from the Charles H. Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul University. She is currently a member of the board and the finance committee for the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra. She lives in Hyde Park with her husband and two sons and has a passion for violin performance and playing tennis with her family.
